Short-term Study Abroad Program
Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT) aims to establish itself as a leading research university driving Japan on the global stage, while fostering highly skilled professionals who will take on leadership roles in the international community.
To further strengthen research capabilities that can compete globally, it is essential to enhance education that develops individuals with strong communication skills in an international context.
This program focuses on improving language skills (especially English) from the undergraduate level, strengthening communication abilities, and providing training designed to introduce specialized subjects and promote practical engagement with the international community. We hope that the experiences gained through this program will be leveraged for future academic pursuits, further study abroad, and career development.
Objectives of the Short-term Study Abroad Program
- Strengthening language skills (English skills)
- Strengthening communication skills
- Introduction to science and engineering studies in English
- Connecting with the international community and acquiring practical international awareness

Features of the Short-Term Study Abroad Program
□ Internal selection process (document and interview)
□ Participation in pre- and post-training is mandatory
□ Support for procedures regarding air tickets and program participation fees provided
□Credits and scholarships
? Credits can be awarded if all of the following are met:
?Participate in preparatory learning
?Participate in and complete training at the host university
?Submitting reports and presenting at presentations
? Scholarships are available if all of the following requirements are met:
?JASSO grades calculated based on the previous year's results Evaluation Section 2.3 or more
? Those who have Japan nationality or are allowed to live permanently in the Japan
* The amount varies depending on the dispatch destination and the dispatch period.
